EVERYONE NEEDS A LITTLE FUNK IN THEIR LIFE

For one of the last projects I oversaw for Great Big Story in NYC, we partnered with the Decemberists’ Chris Funk for a 6-episode exploration of the most curious and compelling untold stories of music across the USA. It was a heartwarming and eye-watering journey. The two lead producers, Jonathan O’Beirne and Andy Lampard told some beautiful stories. It was Chris’ first foray into video storytelling, so we wanted to explore how to use his voice and expertise without making him feel like an awkward dude on camera.
